Strömsund municipality has experienced a declining population in recent years. But in Tåsjö outside Hoting, the trend seems to be reversing and there is a shortage of flats because many people have chosen to move there - especially young people.

A new fuel station is being built in Kyrktåsjö, with the support of local stakeholders and regional grants, scheduled for completion this summer.
